The last few updates to RSVPMaker for WordPress have focused on improving the email marketing tool I'm using to send this message, including nicer formatting of YouTube embeds like the one below, and better transformation of post and event content into email format (illustrated in the video).

I've been using these tools in combination with the Postmark service for several years as an alternative to Mailchimp (although I also have an API integration with Mailchimp).

I've also converted a couple of clients from Mailchimp to RSVPMaker because it's less expensive and better integrated with their websites. It allows them to learn one content design approach based on WordPress blocks, rather than using a different set of design tools for email. Most recently, a client that hosts $200 a plate farm-to-table dinners used RSVPMaker to announce their new season of events.

I've played with some other WordPress-based email tools, such as Mailpoet, and I think RSVPMaker is better. Certainly, it's better for sending out event invitations! For the rest, you can judge for yourself.
